Johnny started playing music professionally in 1976 in Houston where his groups opened for Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Charly McLain, Al Stewart and others.  Moving to New York City in 1990, Johnny played for off-Broadway productions and national tours, as well as in blues and country groups around the big apple.   Johnny and Lisé  teamed up to perform in Atlantic City, Florida and New Hampshire.  Moving to LA in 1997, Johnny played with several bands including The Horse Soldiers and continued playing for musicals locally. 

While living in the Navasota area, Johnny and Lisé have had many more opportunities to perform together.  Johnny also played regularly for productions at The Theatre Company and guest-performed with the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, the Brazos Valley Chorale and other area groups.

After relocating to Green Valley, AZ in 2024, Johnny and Lisé are continuing to perform together.
